Michael Chamberlain
Michael Chamberlainstarted his career with Dunlop UK working in plastics production and R&D and then spent the following fifteen years at papermakers Wiggins Teape Research and Development Ltd, developing several patented products and processes.
He joined Pira International in 1989 as Head of Technical Investigations Printing and Paper Technology, and was until 2003 responsible for technical, consultancy and expert services in printing and paper technology. He has presented many papers on document security including subjects from banking to holography. He is responsible for Pira consultancy and testing in the field of Document Security and Brand Protection and maintains an active interest in security technologies for personal ID, document authentication and secure packaging.
Michael is an Assessor for the UK Government’s Grant for Research and Development awards scheme. He was a UK nominated expert on the ISO committee JTC/SC17 (e-Passport durability). He is a Graduate of the University of Wales and has a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS).
