The ePassports Now! series focuses on all the latest developments in the global effort to launch the next generation of passports and associated infrastructure.
Many countries have now produced the first incarnation of their electronic passports, but numerous challenges still exist, such as the integration of new biometrics through Extended Access Control, the roll out of readers at borders, ensuring continued document security, handling negative publicity, training of staff, the ramping up of production to millions of units and many others.
The ePassport Now! series will provide a forum for industry leaders to share experiences, discuss current issues and plan for the future. The series is embedded as a dedicated stream within the Security Document World Conference.
